Macaroni pasta is a small, elbow-shaped noodle that is a staple in many cuisines, particularly American and Italian dishes. It is typically made from durum wheat semolina and has a firm texture and slightly nutty flavour. The shape allows it to hold sauces well, making it perfect for dishes like macaroni and cheese, where it soaks up creamy cheeses and rich spices. Its compact size and unique shape make it fun to eat, especially for kids. Whether served hot or cold, macaroni is a comforting and satisfying ingredient that can be dressed up or kept simple, depending on the dish.
